A Gentle Call for Unity

If you've found your way over to my blog via the One Word Blog Carnival - Gentleness, welcome! It's probably a stretch to say this particular post fits into that category. Just consider this post a cleansing of the palette if you will. A chance for a bit of silliness in your hectic day. Sorry/you're welcome...

Last week I posted an Easter candy review that included a Peeps epic battle scene at its conclusion. Not surprisingly (for this blog, anyway), I received comments from disgruntled bunnies demanding a rematch against the chick peeps. Here is the result:

(Sorry, BunBun. Those little suckers were just top heavy!)

Yesterday, I posted links to Billy Coffey and Bryan Allain's blogs where they argued their cases why you should root for either the Yankees or the Red Sox, respectively. And while I know the following video will not sway a devoted fan either way, in this particular battle, well, see for yourself...

But enough with all of this discourse and dissension! What the world needs now, is Love. Sweet Love. We need to put aside our differences and become the Great American melting pot we once were!

Now, if you'll excuse me...I have a microwave that needs a good cleaning.

I do thank you for the rematch. I must concede, the chicks have demonstrated their dominance. Chickens, unlike bunnies, aren't known for their gentle ways...

Thank you "Reporter from the Daily Peepers" for that informative, albeit shocking report.

You had WAY too much fun with the peeps and your microwave! I had fun with your peeps and your microwave too though so I guess I'm not complaining!

A post for you :)

The lesson here is -- we need gentleness in sports! Everyone gets all excited, and then there's a meltdown. Great post, Kathy, and I'm still laughing.

Refreshing comic relief - my daughter also enjoyed it.

Why this sudden urge for me to hold someone's hand and start singing "Kumbaya"? And that video rocks. That totally beats loswhit's.

That rematch? They look like dyed potatoes exploding.

Little did those peeps know
she'd microwave them to show
who gets the laugh last
will not suffer the blast.

I'll gently go my way now.

You've had way too much coffee.

I saw that you were visiting Nick the Geek's post on how coffee (and holding warm things) makes us feel warmer and more open.

That's the only explanation I have for this post!

Poor Bun Bun . . .

Well, I have to admit, this time it was a fair fight. Poor Pretty Pink Bunnies... who knew they were such candy @$$e$?

Chicks rule!

It seems as if the results are clear. I guess bunnies are gentle creatures, unless they are the ones from Monty Python's Holy Grail.
Just sayin.

So many peeps, so little time. Thanks for the chuckle!

LOL! I loved this!

Glad this important question can be laid to rest. I don't think bunnies are necessarily gentle though- they're easily excited and will claw your arms apart (my sister had several different ones growing up). I'm not a fan...

Weird. I was thinking that would be a huge mess.

Way too much coffee or not -- you have a 'wicked awesome' sense of humour and I'm laughing so hard I can't think!

Oh my word. I kept waiting for an explosion, and all I could think about was having to clean the microwave. Hysterical.

About 10 years ago, a story came into the TV station from CNN in which two young (and somewhat bored) scientists did all kinds of experiments on Peeps to see what they could withstand. (It was reminiscent of Frankenstein, only with sugar.)

My favorite experiment was when they dissolved the Peeps in caustic acid. But the eyes stayed floating on the surface.

I wonder how many Peep eyes I have in my tummy right now....

How is it that you didn't get any boy bunnies?
