Dear God:

Dear God:

Thank you for Pat. I suppose we were unlikely friends, what with our differences in age, background, etc. But the Body of Christ is like that, isn't it? It matters not how vast our differences may be on the surface. When we share a love for Jesus, most things don't really seem to matter.

Thank you for showing me through Pat that all things can be used for your glory. That something like a loss of a leg because of illness might appear at first to be a curse, then turn out to be an incredible blessing.

Thank you for:

  • her infectious laughter
  • her love of me and my family
  • her cinnamon rolls
  • her gift of gab
  • her generosity and thoughtfulness
  • her creativity
  • her wicked sense of humor
  • her wonderful family that she shared with us all
  • her servants heart
  • her friendship through good times and not so good times

I know that she is with you now. I'm missing her right now, but I know she is dancing with the angels. And probably cracking them up.

Goodbye my friend. Until we meet again. I love you.

I'm not usually around on Sunday but I had to preach this morning and tonight so I am online to get backgrounds for my power point and grab my scriptures off Bible gateway instead of typing them myself. I'm lazy like that.

Anyways, it is always say when we have to say goodbye to people who are close to us. I know not long ago I was feeling a deep pain because of a dear saint I had only recently come to know had passed. She was a treasure and exemplified everything Christians are suppose to be.

Even now I feel a sadness and joy in talking about her. I will pray for you and her family and rejoice that she is home where we all want to be.

So sorry for the loss of your friend. But how fortunate for Heaven! Oh yeah, there's a party going on there now...

Whoa - that was awesome. Sounds like she was a great friend. Isn't reassuring to know that she's hanging out with God now? How cool is that!

I'm sorry for your loss. Even knowing we'll be reunited, it's still hard to let go of someone we care about.

I miss her too -she's the only one I would let call me Tammy - cause she's Pat - I mean really - how can you not smile when she's says your name...(or at least a derivative of it, more or less) :)

I am so sorry for your loss. I lost a dear friend many years ago, and understand how you feel. It still brings me to tears if the right thing is said or situation reminds me of her. Wouldn't trade her final days for anything - we were all blessed by her delightful sarcasm and laughter, yet grieved by her leaving us.

Yes, you will giggle together again someday.

Kathy, I am so sorry. For you, of course. Not for the saints in Heaven, but for those of us who must face the rest of our time here on earth without them.

Reunions with those we love, then lose...that's all that gets me through some of the bad days. I'm glad you can cling to that too. She sounds like a remarkable woman. I can't wait for you to introduce me to her one day :)
